Jolyne San, '06, B.S, International
Business - Jolyne is presently an Associate Contract Administrator supporting
the Energy, Systems and Security Division within Parsons Infrastructure and Technology
Group, Inc. The body of knowledge gained from her undergraduate studies in International
Business and Contract Management has allowed me to become a contributing member of a
dynamic management team. "I come across ever changing contractual issues that constantly
draw upon my scholastic knowledge and challenge me to provide resolutions."
Through on the job training, she has gained valuable work experience and, over time,
she has taken on greater responsibilities for management of various contracts
(i.e. United States Postal Service Program Management Contract, FAA Automated Flight
Service Station Contract, General Service Administration Contract, etc.) In addition
to contract administration, she is actively engaged in contract closeout administration
for all divisions within Parsons Infrastructure and Technology Group, Inc.
Janine Sarmiento, '05, B.S. Business Administration
(Emphasis in Human Resources) - Janine is an integral component of college relations and
diversity recruiting. She is the Administrator for the Corporate Grad Program for Parsons'
Early Career Professionals. This integrated Program provides resources that promote career
development and networking among Parsons' young talent. Janine travels to local universities
to recruit for internships and full-time positions, while enhancing relationships with target
universities. In addition, she coordinates various diversity-related recruiting and outreach
events such as Black Engineer of the Year Awards (BEYA) Conference, Hispanic Engineer
National Achievement Awards Conference (HENAAC), and annual conventions for National Society
of Black Engineers (NSBE), Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), Society of Women
Engineers (SWE), etc.

Kai Ramsing, '78, B.S., Electrical
Engineering - Kai has over 25 years of expertise in project design
engineering, material takeoff and cost estimating, engineering management,
field engineering. and construction management. He has guided engineering
and construction groups meeting critical client objectives on all of the projects
that he is involved with. Projects have included Plasma Television screen
fabricating, extreme power lasers, high-vacuum laser instrumentation environments,
explosives testing, rocket launching, sewage and water treating, power generating,
gas compressing, oil producing, vehicle inspecting, and world-wide travel.

travels and opportunities to work with diligent, energetic and imaginative engineers
and management, working for Parsons has been rewarding, fulfilling, exciting and
challenging. Each project assignment has been different due to the personalities and

Greg Macdonald, '02, B.S., Mechanical
Engineering - Greg began his engineering career with Cal Poly's cooperative
education program, working as an Associate Engineer for a medical device company
in Irvine, CA. During his co-op experience, Greg designed, fabricated and tested
automated machinery for a medical device production line. After graduation in
June 2002, Greg worked as a mechanical engineer for a start-up company in San Diego,
CA designing automated machinery for high speed manufacturing and assembly
applications. Greg began his experience with Parsons in August, 2003 as an
Associate Engineer in the Material Handling group for the Pueblo Chemical Agent
Destruction Pilot Plant (PCAPP) where he designed specialized mechanical equipment
for the safe destruction of chemical weapons stockpiled in Pueblo, CO. Greg has since
moved to the Blue Grass Chemical Agent Destruction Pilot Plant (BGCAPP) project
where he has worked as an Engineer I and Engineer II developing engineering
specifications and performing various engineering calculations including stress/deflection,
hydraulic, and static/dynamic analysis for a variety of machine design applications.
In March, 2006 Greg obtained his professional engineering license and currently provides
engineering leadership to a team of drafters and designers in the development of chemical
demilitarization equipment for the BGCAPP project.

Tim Wendler, '89 B.S. General Engineering
- Tim Wendler has extensive Phase I and II environmental site assessment,
remedial investigation/feasibility study, remedial action plans, design, construction,
remediation operations, and project management experience for sites with chlorinated
solvents, heavy metals, and other impacts. He is currently serving as the Deputy Program
Manager for the Los Angeles Unified School District environmental assessment and cleanup program.
Tim also serves as the manager of the Western Region Environmental Engineering and Geosciences
Practice Group, a network of over 80 people in Parsons. Tim also holds a Master of Science degree
in Environmental Engineering from Loyola Marymount University.

Chukwuma Umolu, '86 M.S. Civil
Engineering - Chukwuma is a Senior Project Manager at Parsons Transportation
Group's San Francisco office. He is primarily engaged in the planning and design
of rail public transit projects. Projects that Chukwuma has helped shape include
several BART extensions including San Francisco Airport line, light rail lines
in San Francisco, Sacramento and San Diego, as well as commuter rail stations
and high speed rail studies in the San Francisco Bay Area. Chukwuma also holds
a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Brown University ('84) and is a Registered
Professional Engineer in California. He has worked with Parsons since 1995.
Dezi Nebedum, '93, B.S., Applied Earth Sciences
- Her professional background consists of over twelve years of professional
experience with projects consisting of multi-million dollar engineering projects
for regional, state and federal agencies including the LACMTA Metro Red Line
Stations, and design and construction work for Los Angeles World Airports and
Port of Los Angeles. She currently works with Parsons Water & Infrastructure (PWI)
Business Development Department in Pasadena, CA. Major clients include the Southern
Nevada Water Authority, Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, and the
Orange County Sanitation District. PWI is also providing services in Iraq as a part
of the international reconstruction effort.
Charles Thuss, '94, B.A.. International Relations, '95, M.A.
International Policy Studies - Charles has 10 years of financial investment,
transaction and operations experience. He has worked for private equity investors,
startup enterprises and medium-size operating companies in emerging markets,
telecommunications and engineering services. He has led capital raising transactions,
due diligence processes, strategic analyses, business planning and the spin-out and
daily operations of a global business unit finance group. He holds the CFA Designation
and Masters and Bachelors degrees from Stanford University and sits on the Board
of Directors of The CFA Society of Los Angeles and the Union Station Foundation,
a non-profit homeless services organization. He is a published author on international
relations and currently completing his Masters of Business Administration at the Wharton School.

Jon Kaneshiro, '80, B.A., Geology; '81,
M.S., Civil-Geotechnical Engineering -
Jon has over 20 years of experience in planning, investigation,
analysis, design, and construction of foundation, pipelines, excavations,
dams, tunnels, and underground projects. His experience includes
earthwork analysis for heavy construction projects, preparation
of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for construction, providing
geotechnical recommendations, and the static and seismic analyses
and design for foundations, pipelines, dams, tunnels and underground
openings. He was involved in the planning, investigation, design,
cost estimation, and/or construction of over 80 tunnel and underground
projects (19 in soft ground, 55 in weak to hard rock, 10 small diameter
pipe jacking/microtunneling) and two dozen large diameter cut and
cover pipeline projects.

Theresa Larson,
’80, B.S., Civil Engineering - Theresa has over 22 years of experience
in project management, civil engineering, and environmental documentation
of public works projects. Her responsibilities have also included
design and specifications for road and flood control programs, implementation
of countywide capital improvement projects, and preparation of Affirmative
Action Plan.She is currently a Senior Project Manager in San Francisco,
CA. Experience includes: Project Control Manager for the Bay Area-to-Merced
Regional Environmental / Engineering Study for the California High-Speed
Rail Program EIR/Tier I EIS, the South Sacramento Phase 2 Corridor
Environmental Review and Preliminary Engineering, and the San Francisco
Transbay Terminal/ Downtown Caltrain Extension PE/EIR/EIS projects;
Project Manager for the final design of the $20 million State Route
4 (West) Gap Closure Project, in Contra Costa County, California;
Operations Manager for the El Portal Road Reconstruction, a design-build
project in Yosemite National Park, California; Deputy Project Manager
for the Carquinez Bridges project on I-80 between San Francisco
and Sacramento, California, a $6.33 million contract to provide
a variety of engineering and environmental services; Project Manager
for the Clean Water Enterprise, a $1.3 billion program to increase
the capacity of San Francisco's combined sewer system; Contract
Manager for the Colma Station extension, which involves the construction
management of one of BART's extension program projects; and Manager
of Engineering Studies for the Route 101-Cuesta Grade Improvements
in San Luis Obispo.
Robert Sergeant, ’75, B.S. & ’78. M.S., Civil
Engineering - Robert currently manages the San Diego office and
is responsible for civil and transportation planning and design
projects, quality assurance program, and project scheduling. His
experience of over 25 years includes studies, concept plans, roadway
designs, project management and construction management. Robert
began his career with Parson in 1990 and his major assignments have
included: Project Manager for the final design of SR 125 In San
Diego, Project Manager for for two light rail extensions - Mission
Valley East and Old Town LRT and Preliminary Engineering and preparation
of a Final EIS for MTDB's Mid-Coast LRT extension.

Gregory Baer,
’89, M.A., Urban Planning - Greg is an urban, regional, and environmental
planner and social policy analyst. Experience as a domestic and
international planner for local, state and national governments
encompasses current and advance planning, and provides him with
the ability to identify issues of importance to planning agencies.
He has over twelve years of experience in international planning.
He has worked in a number of important development projects in the
United States, Caribbean, Southeast Asia, Pacific islands countries,
and in the Middle East. He has demonstrated a mastery of both technical
and project management aspects of multi-disciplinary and multi-sectoral
projects for urban development activities and health sector programs.

Sandra Stellway,
’75, B.A., Psychology - After a successful stint in sales and as
a stockbroker while living in the midwest, Sandy's career brought
her home to Southern California and to Parsons, where she has served
as Operations Coordinator & Budget Analyst for our Infrastructure
& Technology Group. She designed, implemented and maintains
a departmental billing system which increased from $122K before
she was hired to more than $900K in 2002. She has monitored expenses
and prepared status reports on several large corporate capital improvement
projects, and has drafted budgets and designed monthly cost analyses
for a $12M operating budget.

Roger Burnett, ’06, B.S., Finance
- Currently, Roger is a Senior Accountant within Parsons Constructors Inc.
He is working on a variety of tasks including maintaining budgets and project forecast,
providing all documentation to fulfill corporate requirements, assisting in preparing
the monthly billings to our various clients and working with procurement to establish
and verify subcontract work. Roger began his employment with Parsons in 2006 as an
overhead Accountant for the ESS and Chem Demil divisions of Parsons Infrastructure &
Technology. After a brief period, he transitioned to an Associate Project Controls
Engineer on the USPS contract within PI&T as he budgeted new revenue and worked with
project managers to forecast remaining cost and schedule requirements to complete the
work on time and within budget. He also worked as a liaison between the project manages
and other support groups (such as procurement, finance, billing, etc.) whenever questions
in the field arose.

Linlin Huang, ’04, Ph.D., Civil
Engineering - Linlin is a structural engineer of Transportation Group
in San Francisco Office. Her experience includes computational finite element
analysis, construction administration, and design experience in various types
of structures using different types of materials, including reinforced masonry,
wood, concrete, and structural steel, fiber reinforced polymer (FRP). She has
six publications in the area of linear hydroelasticity for Fluid-Structure
interaction. Currently she is specialized in Bridge design and analysis.

Frank Destadio, M.S., Systems
Management - Frank has over 38 years of dynamic leadership experience which includes senior
management and engineering positions in Parsons Corporation and with the United States Air Force.
While in the Air Force, he served as the Command Engineer in the Air Force’s largest Major Air Command
and as the Command Engineer in the Asian-Pacific region. Frank is currently a Vice President for our
Buildings Division and is Program Director of our Fulton County Schools program. This is a huge
program with many challenges working with a local school Board. Frank has been directly responsible
for large planning projects, program management, design/ construction management and execution of
construction activities for several other telecommunications projects while working for Parsons.
He received his B.S., in Civil Engineering, from the University of Connecticut.

Farzin Torbati,
‘84, B.S., Architecture - Farzin is a Supervising Senior Architect,
in Pasadena, CA. He has over 18 years of architectural experience,
including transportation, urban planning, theme park and entertainment,
high-rise commercial, residential, hospitality, healthcare, industrial
and warehousing, education, correctional facilities, executive interiors
and space planning, retail and food establishment, shopping centers,
airport, petrochemical, and defense contractor work. Projects include:
coordination & design of Discovery World Theme Park (a 32 acre
theme park) in Tai-ching, Taiwan; redesign of SK Tower (a 36-story
high-rise corporate office headquarters building for a major Korean
oil company) in Seoul, Korea; the design and design development
of Hawiyah Producing and Infrastructure Facilities (large 2 story
administration building) in Saudi Arabia and design development
of $600,000,000 Newport chemical destruction facility, as well as
many other complex and creative projects.
Richard Wilkinson,
’74, B.S., Mechanical Engineering - Rick has over 34 years of
experience in project management, engineering design, and construction
management for unique, complex, and high-technology programs, all with
Parsons. He has extensive background in processing and handling of chemical
and nuclear materials, design and construction of process equipment and facilities
involving remote or automated systems, waste treatment, and environmental protection.
Rick is the author of more than a dozen publications, including current management
topics such as design-build and turnkey remediation. He has extensive experience in
the integration and facilitization of complex equipment and systems, and in the management
of large diverse design programs and multiple concurrent design projects. Rick is
currently Vice President and Corporate Manager of Operations Systems, and is a
registered professional engineer in California, Colorado, and South Carolina.

Masoud Samee, '05, M.S., & '07, Ph.D.,
Civil/Environmental Engineering - Masoud is currently a process/project engineer working
for Parsons Water & Infrastructure group in Pasadena, CA. He has several years of expertise
in wastewater treatment facilities design, project management and construction. Working as a
project engineer for the Tulare industrial wastewater treatment plant expansion and Banning water
reclamation facility, Masoud is considered a unique asset contributing to the success of the
project and ensuring that the project is delivered in a timely manner. He also has extensive
research experience in integrated biotechnologies for water/wastewater treatment, design and
upscaling integrated processes for water application, biodegradation of hazardous wastes and
biofiltration of contaminated gas streams.
